Usage
1. As a highly effective UV absorber, widely used in:
Sunscreen cosmetics: absorbs UVB and UVA band ultraviolet radiation, protecting skin from photo-damage;
Food and beverage preservation: inhibits microbial growth, extends shelf life, complies with food-contact-grade safety standards.
2. In the UV curing field, as a key photoinitiator (MBB/OMBB):
UV coatings and inks: initiates polymerization by absorbing UV light, enabling rapid curing, suitable for surface coating and printing on wood, metal, plastic and other substrates;
Advantages: odorless, low migration, suitable for direct food contact, compliant with FDA and EU food contact material regulations.
3. Other industrial applications
Can serve as an intermediate for synthesizing anthraquinone dyes and pigments, participating in specific chemical synthesis processes.
